Removing trim to wire sub

So I am currently trying to wire a sub into the back of my countryman and have gotten stuck. I need to run power from the battery to the rear of the car, but I cant seem to get behind the glove box to run the cables. Actually I can't seem to make any progress with this, as this is my first time working on the inside of the mini. Whats the easiest way to run power through the car? Is there a hole in the firewall near the glove box? How do I remove the trim without breaking it? Any help would be great.

It'll be great to see pics when you're done, but way more helpful if you take pictures during the process- you'll definitely help out guys like me itching to do this as well!

Still working on it. I havent made too much progress due to my limited knowledge of wiring and taking apart the countryman. The battery sure isnt fun to get to.
