MINI Garmin holder

I recently bought the MINI Garmin Nuvi holder and I have the 12 page print out, however, the wiring is vague. Can anyone send me to an appropriate area, links are fine, I am unable so search from work more than 2 minutes without a boss questioning me. Pics or video would be awsome. Thanks in advance and happy motoring.

Did you check the mods section? Sometimes it's a better place than the talk section for how to's.

thanks for the quick reply. The posts about the MINI brand kit are leaving me with the same problem on the wiring. Unfortunately $165.00 for a part and nearly $200.00 for labor, I was looking to avoid. If I can't figure the wiring out, I'll return the part Monday.

I have instructions that I could take a picture of if you want. The dealer printed them out for me when I purchsed the mount. It took me maybe 15-30 minutes to complete from start to finish. I had installed the previous version on my old 2008 Clubman and this new mount is way easier to wire. Also, if you had a dealer close to you, have them print the installation instructions off.

If you could take pix of the wiring, I'd be set. I am unable to hit up the dealer til next month at the earliest.
Thanks for the help.

Wiring into the OBD port instead of to the circuit panel - interesting. I guess that would be a switched power supply source that turns on and off with the ignition.

Word of advice. Do not take the garmin holder on and off (ball and socket parts). The plastic tabs that hold it all together are weak and cant take the force required to seperate and push together the ball and socket pieces. I think it was about 4-5 times before the plastic tabs broke, both on the grey outer ring and in the mount itself. Its pretty cheaply made. Im going to try and see if I can order replacement parts for it.

The used 2010 mini I'm about to buy has this kit installed but no Garmin. Do you guys know if you can install something newer than Nuvi 360?
