Part numbers for OEM Alarm system?

Just wondering what the part numbers are for the OEM alarm system for a 2011 MCS hardtop. Anyone know? If not, does anyone know a good dealer/vendor that sells the alarm system for a reasonable price?

We are happy to get you an alarm. Just email us you vin# to info@waymotorworks.com and we'll get you a quote for the correct alarm for your MINI.

I sent a inquiry through their website when they posted in this thread and haven't heard back from them yet.

Mine isn't pre-wired either. Pretty high labor cost, but it's still do-able. I'm having mine installed next Tuesday (along with a PDC retrofit).

Are you diy'ing it or bringing it to a dealer?

Dealer is going to do it. I have no real interest in doing it, but more because I don't like knowing "who is behind the curtain".

I'm assuming the labor was a cutthroat price as well? The lowest I got in Norcal up here was $1300.

Well, truth be told, your dealer shouldn't be charging (much) more than you get quoted for on shopminiusa. They quote $900 for me on there for labor. My dealer quoted slightly under that. If it's $1300 for labor + parts that's probably about right. It's a lot of scratch and pretty inflated, but I feel there's a depreciation factor when you install non-oem stuff on your ride.

That quote they gave me was for labor only. I had already purchased the alarm from Way already.

Get a quote off shopminiusa and bounce it off your local dealer. It could help a lot.
