Convertible Car Seat - What Fits?

Our little one is at the point he needs to change from an infant seat to a convertible seat. Our infant seat is a Chicco Keyfit, which is amazing. We absolutely love this seat as it is quick and easy to install in both of our vehicles. We have a clek foonf on order, but due to numerous delays, we may not be able to wait for this seat, and I am not even sure the foonf will fit properly as it looks huge. Our next choice is a Britax, either Pavilion 65-G3 or Advocate 65-G3. Is the Britax a good choice or are there other ones I should consider?

I use this evenflo seat in the MINI. We have a Britax in the Audi that's a little tight. The Evenflo seat fits nice and is a breeze to put in and take out. We found it for around $100.

We have two Britax boulevard 70 seats and both fit fine. Our nearly 3 year old does kick the back of my seat occasionally, so I just bought inexpensive seat back covers. My CM has the bench seat in the back as well.

I have the Britax Boulevard 70 as well and my son is only 4 months, so it's still rear facing and there is plenty of room in the passenger seat and the back seat. We went with Britax due to all the safety reviews and the overall construction. We also have the Britax B-Safe infant seat as well and love both of them.

We went from the Chicco Keyfit to the Recaro Proride. Fits great and IMO is better quality than comparable Graco/Britax models.

Sadly, Recaro is not available for sale in Canada. We bought the Britax Boulevard 65-G3. Seems to fit well, but due to the position of the driver's seat, we had to put it behind the passenger seat. I may change it, but we'll see how it works first on that side.

You don't have the internet in Canada?

Britax are rated very high for safety. We have the Britax Marathon 70, rear facing in our CM. Did not opt for the bench seat.

We have the bench seat and we've fitted both the Britax Roudabout 55 and Pavillion 70-G3 (rear facing). We really liked the Britax from all the reviews we've read online. Making sure it was going to fit in our CM was definitely a requirement when deciding to purchase the CM.

Old thread, but I'm hoping to find answers on same topic. I have a 2013 CM and also looking to fit two car seats rear facing. I see the pics of the Recaro, but it is forward facing. I'm wondering if anyone has pictures of seats showing rear facing installation. And how much did you need to pull your front seats forward to accommodate?

That would be very much appreciated!

*edit I see yours has buckets and I have a bench seat. Will that make a ton of difference?

Sorry, I never responded to this one. Car seats from the USA and the rest of the world are illegal to use in Canada due to our different regulations.

As for the seat, we went with the Peg Perego PV Convertible and could not be happier. It fits really well rearward facing and also forward facing.
