I just LOVE the sport button

My wife usually drives our 2009 MCS convertible as her daily driver, but today I wrestled the keys out of her hands and drove it to work. WOW what a different car this is with the sport mode engaged! That poor car got wrung out out on it's way to the office. I think it liked stretching it's legs. I don't think my wife really drives it like she stole it.

No real point to this story, just a happy morning in the MCS!

I drive a manual, and when I forget to engage the sport mode I almost stall sometimes. Does anyone know if there is a way to force sport mode on when you start your car?

No there isn't any way to do this that I am aware of. I have a manual too. How does it almost stall? Apply more gas pedal to your action.

Well yeah I never actually stall, but it will shake a little because I'm so used to the hyper sensitive gas pedal when it is in sport mode.

I'm just too used to sport mode

Me, too. With Sport mode off, I have to consciously give it more gas before I release the clutch, or I get the stutter shudder.

I'm the other way, I drive with it normal, and then for fun switch to sport. I'm used to the normal mode, and about stall it at the lights a few times after I hit the sport button.

The other "problem" if you want to call it that, is that I put it on sport, and don't watch the speedometer, and end up way fast for the speed limit on a city street.

No real point to this, but I just had a brain fart, and figured out what MCS means. lol

Give me a break I have only had my MCS for two weeks.

If people would have put MC-S maybe I would have figured it out sooner. lol

Sport mode rocks. Problem is I'm gonna kill the tires soon. I enjoy the 1 & 2nd gear wheel spin.

I sometimes refer to mine as MCSc.

As to the Sport Button, I almost never use it. Either way works when you are used to it and with it off, you just have to push the gas pedal further to get the same results. I have enough trouble around town without Sport mode. I love the feel and sound as the turbo spools up and I like the red-line too. Plus in Sport mode, if I am on a slight up incline, I almost always spin the tires. That's mainly why I don't use it.

I like fast cars, and neither the sport button nor the paddle shifters even came to mind when I was taking a test drive even though I had planned on it...I guess because I didn't feel like the drive was lacking anything in 'stock' form.

I'm really looking forward to trying them out when mine arrives this winter!

I find stop & go traffic easier with Sport Mode on. In Normal Mode, it stalls too easily in hot weather.
