Factory VIN and Information Sticker location??

My tire pressure light came on the other day and after I checked all the tire pressures I looked for the sticker that's usually on the door or the part of the quarter panel the door meets up to. The problem is, I couldn't find it. My drivers side quarter panel was replaced after it got smashed in by a Jeep so I'm guessing that's where it is supposed to be. Is the body shop supposed to transfer it over??

Thanks in advance,

Chris

I was gonna say...that's where it should be lol

Look under the hood. The VIN should be etched into the strut tower area (I think). I keep my tires inflated at about 38, if that helps

Thanks! Yeah I wasn't worried about the tire pressures so much as emissions because I'll hopefully be stationed in Germany at some point when I'm in the Air Force. The sticker on the driver side by the strut tower had the emissions thankfully. But do you know if there is anything important on the sticker I'm missing? If its just tire pressures I'm not worried.
Thanks again!

Nothing you couldn't find by just having the VIN alone. Tire pressure is only on the sticker, I believe. But yeah, I'm pretty sure you're good

Since 90% of mini drivers drive on a non-oem tire size, even the psi is not very useful....
About 90% of the stuff on the label is warnings...
The vin is stamped into metal parts on different parts of the car...
The only truely useful info on the door sticker is the production date, which is 100% NEEDED when ordering some parts....but the same info can be gotten by looking up the vin....
For future ref, look up the production date, and write it down, or make a sticker and stick it somewhere.

The tire pressure indicator on the R53 is not a measurement by PSI. It used the wheel speed sensor to calculate the variation in the rotational speed of the tires. If it thinks one is not rolling at the same speed it sets off the light. Mine does it every now and then when I am in a tight corner or break a tire loose.

Yeah, I knew that haha. I'm just saying that the light going off is the reason I checked for the tire pressure sticker, and then found that it wasn't there.

I have a 2006 r53 that I recently bought. There are no stickers in the door jambs at all. So I am looking for the VIN number. Is it not like american autos and stamped in the lower left corner behind the windshield? I have covered this thing and haven't found it yet?

Congrats on the new MINI. Yes it should be behind the windshield on the drivers side, etched into the strut towers in the engine bay, and mine had a sticker with barcode behind the rear licenceplate ... Never looked too close at that, but I assume that was the vin number back there too.

I found it on the strut tower (don't know why I didn't see it before). I can't see it thru the corner of the windshield because it looks like something is blocking the little view window on the inside.

Yep I am really going to enjoy it, but after having it only a week I decided to rework some things so I have it all torn apart. Putting in a new clutch kit, new water pump, new thermostat and housing, new serpentine belt and belt tensioner, and changing/checking the lube in the supercharger and transmission.

You'll know every nut and bolt when you're done.
