Justa with basic radio... I want bluetooth and XMsirius.. how?

Is there a unit that has both? Seems like something that would be great, as I have seen nav systems that have bluetooth. However, I don't need NAV I know how to get to work.

All the shopping searches have only found the two things to be separate, none found in the same unit.

Does anyone know of a XM radio with phone bluetooth?

The only way you are going to get the two together is in an aftermarket head unit. There is no rhyme or reason why a XM unit would have bluetooth in it as then the bluetooth would not work when the stereo system was set to say CD or standard radio.

Yes and as they are both integrated into the radio system the bluetooth will over ride any audio source.

But when adding an aftermarket XM or Sirius unit they connect to the AUX in and if the bletooth was is the SAT unit it would only work if the AUX input was selected. If the CD or AM/FM were selected the audio for bluetooth from the SAT unit would be blocked.

Ahh...didn't realize that's what shipjumper wanted.
Can't blame him for not wanting to shell out the $$$ for a new factory radio.
Must be a royal pain to put in an aftermarket head unit with everything integrated into the speedo like it is. I kinda hate the way they do it now on just about everything......except for my '09 Ranger...its old school radio-wise and replacing the radio was sooooo easy...did it twice in fact.

yeah, i know when aux is plugged in for my phone, I can use it like a psudo-bluetooth, as i can hear the caller over the speakers, but gotta hold the phone for the mic.. kinda works. i have music on my phone, but its not what i want to listen to all the time and it is a DUMB phone, so no streaming..

PLUS being in VERMONT, the cell reception goes on vacation as much as the people do!

soooo, Is there a way to RE-integrate the sat radio into the OE system? or is that big $$ too? I could just mount my phone and hit aux when i want to use it ...

Not totally sure what you are asking here.

You can get the OEM SAT unit and install it. or you could go aftermarket. thing is with the aftermarket you will not be able to use your phone with the AUX as you are doing now.

Sounds like you might be adding a few aftermarket boltons...
Replacing a stock, intergrated radio is a pain and $$$, but having a rats nest of wires with a xm reciver on the dash might be worse....

go to crutchfield.com

I use a radio and have a car kit for the car and a home kit for the home. It costs only one subscription fee and I can use it everywhere.

iPhone also has an app you can check on
