Ebay Exhaust
Has anybody heard of this exhaust system? I was wondering it the old saying "you get what you pay for" is true is this situation? Any comments? Thanks!

never installed one, but you do get what you pay for. for the most part, ebay, for the most part, is a place to cheap items or other people junk. the one system looks like it will rust right away, the other one will take a year or two...

JTack, the one is a 409 SS w/ 304 tip, 409 is a lower grade SS and will corrode some depending on quality/grade, how fast will depend on exterior conditions a bit. The other, ?????????? nothing listed. As far as quality of construction, well, pictures I suppose.

Haven't worked with either of those but did install one of the cheepos on a R53 3 years ago this Christmas (... so 34 months. ) it is the one that sells for 275 now.
The customer had me do a PS pump just last weekend . gotta say I am impressed.
I have run Borlas, and Altas on other cars and there is NO difference in rust / etc
The fitment was as good as both the others and sound was a bit different but very nice (& no drone).
I am a supporter of not looking first at ebay ... but for 1/3rd to 1/2 the price it has done well

409 does get ugly after a while but structurally its still there. I have put well over 140,000 miles on my 409 headers on my tundra in the salt down in Texas and they are fine, not shiny but still all there.

Firm believer you get what you pay for.
But then again, the tips of my Magnaflow Exhaust completely lost their self described show quality luster and finish in about two months this past summer. And two very popular and long standing MINI vendors have ebay stores too, so it has it's place.
I am not liking the appearance of this pressed/spotwelded collector before the tips on the first one listed...looks like a weak link to me....

Second system listed however looks like nice set up. Has just a resonator with no second cat like a JCW exhuast.
Maybe send the seller a PM to get info lacking in the ad.
