Borla Exhaust options

I'm looking at installing a Borla exhaust on my '10 MCS and was looking for some options about the sound difference between the touring which is the quieter of the two and the aggressive/sport/street variation. I've checked out a bunch of YouTube videos of both and to be its hard to tell the difference.

Is the sport one really loud over stock? Is it livable at 130km?

I had the sport on my R53 and loved it, not too loud for my tastes!

hopefully someone knows the answer to this im curious too!

i just bought the sport for my car!!! (r53) im waiting for my buddy to ship it to me. ive heard its a pretty big difference and like you said youtube videos are hard to tell just by peoples camera's having nice microphones vs. sucky ones and what other mods people have making the exhaust louder or quieter. im hoping my intake and milltek header will make it loud and oh so enjoyable i guess ill find out this week!

Sorry but the Borla on the R56 car is not a good fit. I've installed two of them and the center support under the car has to be either cut or removed. and if you remove it the body will flex more. We sell the Borla and it is one of the least I recommend. Right now we do have the Invidia Q300 on sale for a GREAT price which fits well and goes all the way to the downpipe. Otherwise I would recommend the Akrapovic as the absolute BEST available, and the NM after that.

We never had problems fitting the Borlas on the R53, but after time the welds on them crack and all the joints leak.

Thanks for the information on the Borla. Did a bunch of reading about the Invidia Q300 and most seem to love it, and your right about a great price! Now just have to wait for it to come in.

I had the race system, not a fan anymore. Sounded great at cold start but droned like crazy.
