2009 3 spokes steering fit a 2003 mcs?

Can someone pls let me know if a 2009 3 spokes( with mfsw buttons)steering wheel wfit my 2003 mcs. My 2003 has the multifunction buttons, is this swap a problem?

Will not fit. R56 is not compatible to r53

ok thanks. i will try to modify the steering to make it work. i may loose some funtionality of the switches. i fitted the 03 spline to the 09 steering wheel and they fit. do you know where is the horn buttons on the 3 spoke wheels?

There are no horn "buttons" on the 3 spoke wheel. It is the entire area around the center trim ring.

Is your 09 steering wheel from a convertible or hardtop? The 09 convertible is an R52 (1st gen) and compatible with 03. An 09 hardtop steering wheel is not.
