Just picked up my Cooper yesterday! 2003 Silver/Black w/Tartan Red int. Anyway, I finally figured out the sunglasses bin in the glovebox lid, but haven't figured out the two sets of clips just above it. Pen holder? The (normal sized) pen I tried was too thick. Anybody know what this is?

I was told by my sales rep it was a pen holder. But haven't tried to fit a pen in it yet. When I'm in the car, writing is not my primary mission!

My spare pen fits nicly in that spot. Now, I always have a pen. That is unless I forget to put it back in the pen holder in the glove box.

DOH...

My pen fits fine too.. It holds your regular run of the mill stick pen just fine...

Regular Bic type pen fits nicely. Don't forget the little slots above the pen holder that hold $2.00 in quarters

Hmm.......a pen holder in a MINI. How convenient. Now when the nice officer asks you to "Sign Please" you can use your own pen

I keep a log book for my mileage tracking and expenses.
Pen holder comes in handy.

Babs,
In regards to the sunglasses bin, how do you actually place your shades in there?

I just put them in lenses down on the foam pad. Of course, I only have cheapo non perscription glasses, so I'm not too worried about them.

Thanks for the coin holder tip, I hadn't noticed! My Euros fit nicely also! I also found a pen that fit. Actually, armed with the knowledge that it WAS a pen holder, I was more confident to "force the issue" a bit. The clips were a little stiff.

Open your glove box. On the inside of the lid is a sunglasses holder, a pen holder and a coin holder. There are also inserts for resting your beverages.

....or are you across the pond and don't have the glove box on your passenger side?
