They seem to be a pretty common tire on here and at the price I can imagine why. Can someone give me the pros and cons on them? Please!!

What do people think of Enkei rims?

I had them and when I sold my first set of replacement wheels I sold them with the tires and bought the same tires again. I like them and they ride good and corner well enought for me (I drive HARD but I'm a little slower on the curves then some. The person that got them from he likes them as well.

Very comfortable for a ultra high performace tire! Ideal for someone who is willing to give up a tad of maximum grip in trade for a more comfortable and quiet ride. This tire has been extreemly successful on Mini!

I like them. Great dry grip, no problems hydroplaning on wet freeways, but as expected horrible in snow.
I put them on as soon as I got my MINI so I can't compare ride quality with the runflats.
Right now I have Yokohamas on all three of my cars and feel that they provide excellent bang for the buck.

Pro's:

Price is great
Great styling of the treads
They get very sticky once warmed up on some twisty roads
Good selection of sizes to fit the MINI

I replaced my run flats with these tires at 300 miles.

The Yokos ride better, handle better and look better.

Nothing else to say !!!!

I replaced my runflats with Yoks about a month ago after 20000 miles on the runflats. Can't say enough about them. I love them! Nice quiet and smooth ride and still great grip for the corners.

Thanks for all the helpful advice. I decided to go with Toyo Proxes 4's. Something going back to being a previous Miata owner, I had to find out what all the hype was about. I am definitely going to try Yokes the next time if I don't positively fall in love with the Toyos. Thanks again.

I am having them mounted on Enkei CDR9 17 x 7 rims. I'll post pics when I get them on.

Thanks again.

I run them on 15s here, they stick nice in the corners, definately above average in the rain and for the price there isn't anything that can beat it IMHO.

I love them but there are 2 downsides. one if you are running 215/45/17s, they rub on the fenderwell. I'm at stock rideheight with stock suspension/ springs and I still rub.

and 2 the grips great if you live in socal but slide like the dickens in cold rain.. (but most tyres do)

I can’t say what the difference is from MINI to MINI, but I’m running the Yoko 215/45-17’s with my stock S Lite rims. I have a 02 MCS. My suspension is completely stock. I have no rubbing what so ever. After I put a few hundred miles on them they preformed great. I’m using them as a daily driving tire and auto-x on the weekends.

Hey MSR...

I've never heard of that size/make tire rubbing before. Are you running the stock wheel/offset, too? Which wheel? Under what conditions do they rub? I'm hoping to go to that combo when my runflats wear out.

I've run both these and the Pradas(sp?). I
prefer the Pradas on a dry road. I never got
a chance to drive the Pradas in the rain.

They worked great for me Kool, but here in Fl our snow fall was limited to zero inches this year.

i bought a used set from mjour (sp?) jim and its on my commuter (G20).
they're pretty noisy (howling) from a comfort standpoint, but they handle the
wet and dry pretty well. The ride is comfortable too. The howling is nowhere
near loud as my S03's though.

Result: good enough for me.

I have 215/40ZR-17 83W and no rub that I know of.
