That sounds good, Smokey, and I'll be there next Thursday. I'm looking forward to seeing some of the other MINIs in the western Carolinas area (and their drivers, of course).

Sorry guys, I'll still be in Raleigh on Thursday. I'm dealing with a broken driver's seat right now, too. It's stuck all the way forward, and the recliner mechanism is stuck, too.. I get to drive home in the Lotus position this evening...

Just wanted to thank those that made it to the Meet & Greet.

As always I had a blast and enjoyed spending the evening with everyone talking about MINIs and m2c2.

It was decided to make this a monthly event, scheduled for the 1st Thursday of each month. So if you missed this one, make plans for the next.

Look for the info at m2c2 events page and see you there!

I had fun at the dinner. It was good to talk over some new ideas for M2C2 and just talk about MINIs.

I will try and make it to the next dinner. Thanks for getting it started. I hope to start a monthly get together in Charlotte soon.

Hello to you!! Just became a Mini owner so and missed this event. Was curious to now approx how many Mini's might be in the Asheville area. We live in the Candler area and our "Tootles" is pepper white with black roof. If she was only out of the break in period (sigh) I would be at the 2004 Dragon's Tail

Hello John,

My best guess is there are about 10 to 12 minis in the Asheville area. Most aren't very active so there is a core group of about 5 of us. Our next get together is going to be on May 6th for dinner in the South Asheville area.

I'll be posting the details once I get finished with the Dragon events!

Nice to see another WNC Mini owner

Hello!! Great to hear from you. Actually pretty nice to hear to there are that few Mini's in the area, makes us all turn heads haha. Our Mini is the wife's daily ride so perhaps you may see "Tootles" around town. I'll get the pleasure of driving her mostly on the weekends. I of course have just found this website and had a question that perhaps you could answer. I can not see how to post a message other than just replying. I have a question that perhaps you can answer before I contact Century Mini of Greenville. When I bought the Mini was told the first service required was at 10,000 miles which agrees with the indicator appearing in the instrument panel. However when I review the cd which came with Mini it is stating first service at 3600 miles? Also, I am in the habit of rotating tires at 3000 mile intervals and would you know if this has to be done by the dealer to comply with factory warrenty? Anyway, stay in touch and I'll also contact the dealer with these questions.

Welcome to the message board, this one as well as mini2.com and Roadfly.org offer lots of information and hours of reading.

To start a new topic, look just to the left of the white "block" at the top of the page. There should be 3 links (New Topic, Search and Subscribe). Just make sure you post your question in the right place, no biggie really the mods will move it for you.

First service is at roughly 10,000 miles. Based on your driving habits and conditions the OBC will adjust that number.

Lots of discussion about rotating the tires, some do and some don't. MINI does not recommend rotating and therefore will not perform this at service time unless you pay for it. Some say that by not rotating you only have to replace the tires 2 at a time (fronts will wear fastest). I rotated and was able to get 23,000 miles out of the Dunlop 5000's and have since moved on to a non-runflat tire, which might make it to 23,000 miles. These roads up here at conducive to long tire life

Hope to see you and your wife at the next dinner event.
