Help a Newbie with a 2007 w/nav

I searched and read allot of threads but can't find what I am looking for with this year.

What is the plug in the armrest, can an ipod be plugged into to it, if so does it work properly through the nav unit, if so what cord/adapter do I need. It seems a 2007 nav is a bit of a loser in this regard. Thanks in advanced.

You don't need to use the armrest dock to control the iPod through the nav screen. Just using the adapter cable (example
here here
) will work.

Assuming you have the USB connection; I think it was bundled with the armrest dock but I'm not sure.

The USB port moved around a lot in the early R56 years. If it is not under the climate controls check in the glovebox and secret compartment.
