Is there such a thing for the Mini? Is there a dry weather, R compound available for 17 x 7 or 7.5 wheel?

Thanks for any leads

I know the Pirelli P - Zero Corsa is considered a "competition" tire, 215/45/17

And Hoosiers, Kumho 205/40/17 as well. If you look under "competition" on tirerack, you'll find a few choices....

Would the 215/45-17 raise my gear ratio? I know the 205/40 lowers it a bit and that's what I was considering.

215/45 is slightly taller, 205/40 is severly undersized, 215/40 is the shortest I'd even entertain for race rubber.

Thanks for the info, Alex.

Questions...how much slightly taller is the 215 and which tires do you recommend for race application dry weather only?

Sid

Both preferably. Mostly limited dry weather street, then autoX, then track...in that order.

would you coincider fender lip surgery to accomodate a 225? I am concerned about race rubber in street conditions.

I might consider surgery.

My Mini only sees dry weather...not even a puddle will touch it The only time it gets wet when I wash it

i have had great results with KD, this is 25.0 inches in diameter, so its a bit taller in diameter. Width was the complication requireing modifcation.

Severe trimming of the fenderlips and possible reshaping of fender plastic in board of the wheel.
