Flashing Lights

Hello Mini owners I have a 2008mcs and a "PROBLEM" MAYBE!!! On the drivers side in the overhead I have a light that flashes on then off in the early part of starting the car it reads passenger airbag de-activated so is the air bag system working or not "THANKS" for your help MINIINHD

its probably flashing because its not detecting a pre defined weight to activate the airbag... put a 30+ Lb box or backpack in the seat and see what happens.

It is normal behavior for that pass airbag light off indicator to show up briefly during power up of the system.

Only worry about that system if there is an adult passenger in the seat and that light turns on.

Wow...now I feel better! I thought the flashing lights were red and blue in your rear view mirror.
