Lightweight Wheels

I'm looking to buy some 17" lightweight wheels, but I'm not 100% sure what the best option would be. I'm looking for something in matte black. I haven't lowered my MCS just yet, but I'm thinking 1-1.5" lower. Besides wheel advice, what other parts will I need to prevent my wheels catching the fendings and wheel wells?

Thank you all for the advice and help!

From what I've read here, OEM sized (17X7") lightweight wheels with OEM ballpark offsets and appropriate profile 205, or even 215, width tires shouldn't rub with that amount of drop.

There are so many wheel options and individual preferences in that size that I hesitate to mention any, but I will anyway. A quick check at Tire Rack for 17X7 black wheels to fit the R56 MCS weighing less than 15# showed the Enkei Racing RPF1 (ET43 and 14.6#), and the O.Z. Alleggerita HLT (ET37 and 14.2#). Both of those wheels are fairly popular, but so are many others.

If you prefer wider wheels and tires, that's a fitment case that experienced wide wheel and tire fitment experts should address. I don't qualify, except to know that they will weigh more and not be legal for SCCA stock classes, should you be interested in autocrossing.

OZ Alleggrittas 17x7 are 14.8lbs and don't rub with a 205/45//r17 tire. I have a set I am trying to part with.

Just go to tirerack.com and use their tire/wheel configurator. Very easy to use and they're always ready to help via phone. So much easier than prodding the forums for days and days.
