Painted my calipers

Got a wild idea, though I'd paint my calipers red. Took my wheels off, did a quick cleaning job with some grease remover, masked off the rotor etc., lightly sanded the calipers with 320 grit paper, Sprayed 3-4 coats on each one.

You can get G2 from Tire Rack.
OP: Next time you have your wheels off, think about painting the disk hats too. It adds an extra 'pop' to the wheel well.

That looks awesome! Didn't even think about that

G2 will last for at least a few years. Maybe others can attest to a longer period.

Only reason I mentioned G2 is because it is better than what I used which was duplicolor or something from O'Reilly's. It looks ok when kept clean but is prone to rock chips and such which need touching up periodically. When I finally wear out these OEM brake pads I'm having the wheels, calipers and new disk hats professionally done.

I've been dying to paint my calipers for so long, it's been too hot and when the weather is right, I'm too busy.

Yeah the duplicolor looks good enough for me. I plan on upgrading to a BBK sometime in the future so the caliper paint works fine for now.

The G2 I think is a 2-part epoxy which is extremely strong and heat resistant, the other brands are high heat enamels which are not bad but just are not as tough as the G2, explains why the G2 cost more also.
