Wheel Spacers and Longer Lug Bolt Questions

Are these wheel spacers as good as any others? Do they make spacers that are lighter than others? I guess some with more holes would be lighter. I know the H&R ones cost more.

Also, read that the Mini center hub is longer than 5mm, so no 5mm spacers can have an addition centering flange. Is that true?

5mm Wheel Spacers:

Found these 6mm longer than stock lug bolts. Will the extra 1mm larger than the spacer cause an issue? Is the angle on the bevel correct for Mini? Do they make ultra-light lug bolts similar to Porsche lug nuts? If so, where can you buy them?

33mm Lug Bolts (original Mini are 27mm):

How useful is this lug bolt tool in swapping wheels on and off?

Thx.

I can't comment on the spacers and lug bolts but I'm interested to find out as well. I'm thinking of adding some wheel spacers soon.

The lug bolt tool, as you've probably guessed, screws into the lug bolt thread first then you slide the wheel on over it. I would say if you're constantly swapping out wheels it could be very helpful but if you're like me and only take the wheels off to rotate once every 3 or 4 months, then it seems like an unnecessary purchase.

I was thinking the tool might be handy if running spacers becasue it would keep the spacer from rotating out of hole alignment when mounting the wheel itself. I can see me putting the wheel up there, then rotating it slighty to align the holes, only to find my rotation moves the spacer off the hole. Until I actually try mounting a wheel with spacers I don't know if it will be an issue. Kind of cool tool for only $10 and like you said, probably helpful if swapping wheels fequently.

Ditch the OEM lug bolts and swap over to wheel studs - it will make your life easier! And spaces will fit over the studs and not move...

We make our own spacers that are a direct perfect fit for the MINI in 5mm size.

And then add our 14mm stud kit. I wouldn't be so concerned about the weight of them until your ready to compete on a national level, and even there most of the competitors are not using aluminum lug nuts.
