Charge my ipod

I have a 2007 Cooper S with the boost radio and factory ipod input. Everything works just fine but. This set up does not charge my ipod. Is my input messed up? Or is this system just not designed to charge the ipod? If so is there any way to work around this so I can have it charge my ipod.

It is designed to charge the iPod but if it is not hooked up correctly then it will not charge. Check your fuse box for blown fuses.

Thanks for the quick reply. But would there be more than one fuse
For the radio? My radio, cd player and iPod all function normally
Just not charging the iPod. BTW the iPod charges fine with my
Computer.

Thanks for the info Nightflyr, I went to the link you provided, and did a compatibility check on Crutchfields site and it said it would not work on an 07 Cooper S. So I am confused.

Unfortunately that would have nothing to do with the MINI charging the iPod properly.

To Grovedale, Is your iPod connection in the secret compartment or glovebox? If this is the case then it was dealer installed. and as such i am not sure where they would have hooked it up to for power.

The Fuse would probably be a separate fuse from the Radio fuse but without knowing exactly where they hooked it up to then I can not be sure what fuse it is hooked to.

But check all the fuses in the fuse box on the passenger side foot well. If there are no blown fuses then I would suspect there is something else wrong.

You are correct the ipod input is in the secret compartment. So I will check the fuses and see if anything is amiss. Thanks.
