Ventilated Seats

Couldn't find anything on this in the search bar. How would I go about getting cooled (ventilated) seats?

My biggest pet-peeve is a sweaty back upon arrival to any destination and this is something that happens quite often especially in the summer

I looked on Google and aside from cooled seat cushions which all seem cheap, flimsy and ineffective, I cannot find anything legit. I see some DIY options where people cut open the seat and install fans and then wire them into a remote system that turns the fans on. This is not something I would be able to do since it looks like there are so many possible things that can go wrong and leave me with messed up seats. Not to mention I have no experience with this sort of thing.

Any advice on getting cooled seats installed?

As far as getting something installed, call the local dealership. They should be able to refer you to an upholstry shop.

Thanks for the research. Of the three options you provided, two are seat cushion/covers and the other one is a baby car seat

I am looking to install something INTO the seat...not on top of the seat. If that makes sense lol

I'm going to install the Seat Comfort Kit pretty soon. The Houston heat is terrible with a sunroof. I already have the perforated leather seats, so it should be pretty easy. I'll post some pics once I do the install.

Sounds awesome. Good luck on the install and definitely post up some pictures or something to show us how it went.
I wonder if it would work with the standard leatherette

I' ve installed them before in other vehicles and they are really nice. As long as the air can go the material they will work. Perforated is ideal, but cloth works too. If its solid leather, you are wasting your time because the air can't go up thru the material.
I'll do a write up on it as i do it.

Thanks looking forward to your write up.

Are the stock leatherette seats considered to be perforated?

TEXAS MONTEGO - Did you ever install the ventilation kit in your seats? I am interested in doing this or more likely hiring it done for my SUV. Curious how your project came out!
