Modifying*front seats

Hey everyone so I was sitting in my mini thinking about my seats and there's a crazy idea I have
Taking my seats to a interior shop and having them modify them to a low back meaning no head rest any thoughts ?

Not to be a party pooper! but its sounds like you would get seriously hurt in an accident. Especially if someone rearends you. Sorry! But I bet it would look really cool

I'd have to agree. Besides, I doubt you would find an interior shop that would touch it just for that fact.

I've read that some people have switched the rear seat head rests for the front and prefer that. Some say that it improves visibility out the back.
Another thing some have done is simply turn the headrest around. Apparently it doesn't push your head so far forward when it's mounted on the seat back backwards.
I haven't tried either of these myself. I agree that removing the head rests entirely would be very dangerous. The old noggin needs protection.

I know of a friend who's wife has the headrest turned around backwards because it bothered her neck with the pushed forward position. She prefers it backwards.

My dealer recommended I try turning the headrests around if I didn't like the stock position. I got used to the stock position in a couple of hours and haven't thought about it again until now.

Funny, my wife was just saying that last night. I found this thread while searching for headrest mods or replacements. Before doing anything drastic, I think we'll take your lead and turn it around. Or try swapping with the rear. Thanks!
