Gintani tune experience anybody?

On the way to work I saw a really nice red R56 with a Gintani plate frame on the back. I had forgot all about them. I'm assuming they tuned the car.
Anybody else have anything positive or negative to say about them?
They are really close to my house so it would be a great solution... I'm not about to mail my ECU anywhere...

Thanks

Never really heard of them. Id go with the more better known places. If you have the N18 engine in your car the "send out your ecu" is the only way to go for now.

I'm running the N14 engine so thats on my side. I'm sure they could do a good job. I know they're big in the BMW world..I'll have to do some more research on this.
I'm definitely not going to send out my ECU

Gintani has been around...especially in the BMW world. They used to make a water/air intercooler for the R53 back in the day, it was big money.

I've never heard great things about the Gintani guys though, from friends in the BMW world.

You're in LA....why not just have Jan tune it? Tried and true tune right in your backyard.

Yeah I remember that water to air IC thing... I remember that being a big headache for people... and I dont remember hardly anybody actually getting one haha.
also there was drama with not being able to get ahold of the guys etc etc.
Yeah Jan will be the tuner I'm sure but I was shopping around a little bit.

Davis, you how do you like your tune? I miss my R53 man.. the turbo lag is killing me

The tune is awesome! Never had a problem and I've had it for 4+ years!
