Paintless dent repair tools
Paintless dent repair tools
Anyone know a good source for quality PDR tools that are not outrageously priced? For what the tools are I amazed of the prices.
I just got a nice fist sized dent in the mini near the gas filler from dropping something on the car. Got a few dents in my other cars as well. I would like to fix these myself and take care of future dents.

After years of paying the "dent man" weekly, I thought it would be a great idea to bring the process in-house. I chose a talented long term employee and sent him off to two weeks of training.
After spending thousands and buying all the tools, I soon learned it also takes talent and experience to do an acceptable job. You may find buying the tools to be the least of the problems.

concur. I had access to a set of these tools and played around with them in an auto body repair class and learned - like most body work - it takes a good bit of practice to be good with these tools.
However to answer your question - I suppose $300 is higher than you are looking for? That's what Eastwood's set is

Harbor Freight has a couple of toys, I mean tools, you could try at lower cost
The 'glue' based system http://www.harborfreight.com/crossba...kit-66957.html
and one I'd not seen b4, the classic slide hammer but held on with air/suction from a compressor so no drilling required http://www.harborfreight.com/pneumat...ler-68815.html
I've gotten my best results by calling the local PDR guy!
