Yokohama AVS ES100's 215/45-17
Slightly used, great price.
Absolutely nothing wrong with them, just went to a different size. Fronts are about 85-90% there, Rears abour about 99%.
They were over 400 new, I'll take 200 (OBO)! I'm NUTS I tell you, NUTS!
They're sitting in my garage taking up space.
Please note that it's probably not worth it to ship them so I would consider offers relatively close to my location in Madison, WI. I'll drive to meet you if it's within reason. So you tell me where you live and I'll tell you if it's within reason.
PM me here or send e-mail to jayoung@mailbag.com
Thanks for your interest!

Nope! I had 225's on and they rubbed but not the 215's. Scout's honor.

Mine didn't. I think it depends a lot on the offset.
Ask around, lots of people have run them.

Yup mine (215/45R17) rubbed with stock springs, rim offset is 42, but only on a harsh bump, not during normal driving (but who does that).
After a few miles and a rotation all OK.

What I've been told is that you need a 42mm offset or higher and the factory S-Lites are a 50mm offset.

Yes. This is according to Tire Rack.

Hey Kool,
Unless I'm reading this wrong 10851CS has 215/40ZR-17 AVS ES100
I have 215/45ZR-17 and when I was specing this setup out with Alex @tirerack and also Joe @Rspeed both said that the 42 offset was perfect.
The rubbing I experienced wasn't caused by the tire hitting any portion of the suspension, it was the outer edge of the tire hitting on the wheel spat inboard edge.
And like I said after about 1000 miles and one rotation I don't get any rubbing.

>>how do you determined the offset of the wheel?

It will be (should be) stamped on the inside of the wheel.

^^^^^^Mjolnir
i looked, but the stamped stuff didn't look like offset numbers
i don't know what it was?
so i measured the back space thinking that the offset was the same thing
but when i converted from inches to mm, it didn't make sence

The offset of a wheel is the distance from its hub mounting surface to the centerline of the wheel.
Lots more stuff Here

Mjolnir,
Are those yoko's still available? If so I'm interested. Although I'm in Fl., I have a driver who is going to be in Milwaukee next wk to pick up an 04 MCS we bought. If possible, could you get them over there or is it too far. Let me know I don't have a lot of time before he leaves.
Thanks
Craig
03 MCS Blk/Blk, Alta intake, pulley, madness bar, voghtland springs. Pilo coil, magnacor wires. Helix short shifter, Borla Sport, Alta Diverter
