I've had mine on since February and they look pretty much as good as they did on day one.

I've done both of ours and washed them both multiple times, still looks new.

Oh, and most of our trim is dipped and no problems. I'm buying stock in Plastidip.

I did the grill on my G35x and it looked perfect 2.5 years later when I sold it. I also did it on my husbands Subaru grill and it looked good after 3 years. You may get a little chip once and a while if a big rock hits it, but otherwise it is pretty forgiving.

I have never use plastidip before, but from what I'm reading it's pretty awesome stuff. It seems like it stays soft and in that case, it would make sense that it is less vulnerable to stone chips than paint. A soft material would absorb some of the shock, hardened paint would chip. I never worked with it, so it's just a theory...

I wonder if anyone ever plasti-dipped the front end of a mini. Could be a cheap alternative to a clear bra. ($20 vs $600)

This guy made a bra with it on a vette

I want to do my door handles, is this doable? It seems like it due to everyone doing other trim peices but I haven't seen/heard the door handles being done. TIA

Funny you should ask. I just came across this post about doing handles.
I have not Plastidipped anything yet myself, but am tempted to try it.
