O.M.G. MAJOR MINI Withdrawal!!

My MINI has been in the shop for over a week now. Supposedly, it will be ready on Monday, which will be Day 12. During this time, I've been depressed. My sleep is restless. I've lost my appetite. I've started having mood swings. I've not felt at all excited about leaving the house. I've procrastinated running certain errands, hoping my MINI would be done later on a given day, so I could run the errands the next day. I have thought about going to test drive MINI's I have no intention of buying just to get a fix. I have been reading NAM and wishing I was anybody else here, since you all are having fun with your MINI's and I am not. WHAT...IS...HAPPENING...TO...ME? Can anyone help me?

I think you need to remind yourself that it's just a car. While we obsess with our cars at times, you shouldn't let it stop you from living a healthy life. Go ride a bike. Pick up a book. Bind other sources of enjoyment.

LOL. It's your baby and you have every right to be worried about it.

12 days, that is chump change. Try 6 months of not driving at all. Done that 3 times now and that sucks. Patient young grasshopper it will be back.

Be patient. Just remind yourself to go on a nice long drive when you get it back. I do that whenever I haven't driven mine for a day or so and that fixes the shakes.

LOL! You've got it bad.
To think, it wasn't so long ago that you were considering not buying this car.
We all knew you weren't going to walk away from it.

I know how you feel. I haven't been able to use my MINI that much this year due to numerous repairs. Well, nothing major, mostly bringing it back to almost OEM spec because I'm changing from an aggressive to mild setup for daily drivability. My MINI has been at a friend's shop for a little over 2 weeks diagnosing a suspension clunk I've had for some time now, which they eventually solved the other day. It turned out to be the bolt on top of the coilover.

Can't wait to get it back later this week
