i still think that 18" wheels for the mini are too big...but thats just me.

for some people with this car...its more show and no go

it looks like a mini ludacris would drive hehe

2 minutes driving down the road and the wheels will be bent. What a totally worthless mod. You definitely need bigger brakes just to stop those.

Did you say NO! That is what I thought then I thought it might not look bad with different spokes and not the SUV chrome look.

actually, the tire diameter is 25.3" compared with 24-24.5 for stock..
this can be a problem with fit....the width of 225 is a little iffy also
unless the offset is just right and perhaps enlarging the wheel wells.

However, ... I'll bet the wheels are about 35-40# and the tires are
probably in the low 20 to mid 20's. That makes 55-65# per corner,
with almost all the weight near the periphery. That's gonna hurt
acceleration and braking and saddle the suspension with a big hunk of
unsprung weight which will hurt handling on rough roads.

(note from physics --- Kinetic Energy = 1/2 I w^2 where
I = MxR^2 ... R being the radial center of mass, w is rotational speed,
which for a 25.3" tire is 0.95xspeed in ft/sec...
use slugs for M (lbs/32.17) if you want to stay in the ft/lb/sec system and
lets you easily figure out hp (550 ft.lb./sec) to spin up to a given speed in
a certain # of seconds).

crunched some numbers for a reality check.
For my wheel tire combo (SSR 16x7 GT1 - 15# and
BS SS-03 205/60/16 24#) it would take about
6 hp to get the 4 tires spinning to 60 mph in 7 seconds
and to accelerate them linearly to 60 mph as well, and
would take a 60# 20" combo about 12 hp to do the
same... and takes about 78 hp (average) to propell the
remaining 2500 pounds of car and driver from 0 to 60 in 7 sec. This
doesn't include extra horsies to overcome rolling friction
and air resistance.

The wheel design isn't that bad if it was 17's.... but
that bodykit is so.... is that made out of balsa wood?

I told you it would happen...the "rice" effect....just wait....you're gonna be seeing Minis with lift kits, small block V-8 with 4x4 and BFG Mudders

I am not sure if I like it. I think the space between the wheel and the wheel well is still a little big. Maybe a little lower would make it look better.

I'm enjoying the physics discussion more than I am enjoying that piece of codswallop!

Looks photoshopped. If it was real I beleive the front wheel would bit right in the wheel well.. Also if you look at the rear, it looks off...

Biggest wheel on a mini should be an 18 no if's and or buts

The windshield banner and the Lego body kit are indicative of the kind of taste with which we're dealing here. No doubt the bling bling crowd will be all over these wheels.

I hope the wheels come with a kidney belt for the occupants of the MINI...the ride might be a touch stiff!

I believe there are 30" wheels on the market now. Why not use those?

You can do a 5 lug conversion. There are people running Porsche wheels on the MINI, so don't be too quick to cry fakery.
