Diverter Valve Screw Problems

I'm getting the ALTA bov spring tomorrow, but i'm having problems getting the valve off. There's 3 screws, but one of the three is stripped in the center. Any ideas on how I could get the stripped one off? I appreciate it.

I was going to say a reverse drill bit, but there is practically no room in there to be sticking a drill. You might want to try using a slightly bigger hex bit like a 6mm for example and gradually tapping it in there.

Last resort would be CAREFULLY using a welder to weld some kind of nut on top and wrench it out. Don't forget to disconnect that negative battery cable!!!

take a torx bit (QUALITY ONE), not the cheap china ones.. thats slightly bigger than the hole in the screw, and start tapping it in... nothing pounding, but good light tights like a door knock. And when you think you're done tapping, keep tapping for another 5 minutes. Literally.

I've seen this done countless times on pulley bolts, suspension parts, etc. The key is to keep tapping, even though you're doing nothing, its still marginally going further into the head every time, and you really only have one try at it, so you gotta get 'er right.

Will try that Erik, otherwise I have no chances. I just have to get it started, and then i'll be able to get it off. I ordered the Alta BOV spring, so i need to get this sucker open.
