It's a little exaggerated by the HDR photo effect, but it's a silver finish with a factory composite hood.

HDR (or boosting the Clarity setting in Lightroom) can give red MINIs a deep, glossy appearance similarly.

Where are all these Coopers with roof baskets hiding? Is this in the Philly area? Thought I was the only basket wielding MINI in the area. Glad to see Im not the only one. Those lights look amazing on that basket. Would love to know who's car that is....

ya someone likes HDR. In case someone doesn't know. An HDR photos are made by taking three photos. One over exposed, one under exposed and one properly exposed. Then it merges all three pictures so you get this HDR effect. HDR stands for High dynamic range if i remember right from lighting class. If you want to take pictures like this, some cameras can do it, and the iPhone can as well. If not it can be done in post as well I believe.

 

Right on. Well, that's close to me. Where did you run the power/ground wires for the basket lights? I was thinking about doing the same thing but haven't had much time to really dig into the idea.
