My CM is in the shop, again, for what appears to be an issue with the Valvetronic system. First around 5.5K miles, where they replaced the motor and sent me on my way. It the symptoms happened again this week which is leading to the part being faulty again.

I've read a few posts where folks are saying that this is common. Just want to know if other people have had this problem. Is this a common problem with this engine? Has anyone gotten any more information from MINI about this issue? How many folks have had this issue?

 

Worrisome - I have read about dying Valvetronic motors. Maybe I should be glad my 2012 JCW does not have valvetronic? (The 2013 probably will).
