Bummer

I'm depressed. I discovered a nick on the side above the door handle. Now it feels like it's not new. I only had it about 5 weeks. At least it made it to the 1 month point. I think it was from lawn mowing at work. Then, when waxing it this weekend I noticed a couple of scratches, looked like from doors. And I've tried to be so careful. Oh well, I'm done whining.

There is an old joke about a guy who bought a new car. He and the dealer were walking around it admiring how great it looked. When they got done the guy who bought the car told the dealer how happy he was to now own the car of his dreams. Then he walked up to the car, pulled out a hammer and smacked the side of the car, to which the dealer yelled "why did you do that?!!!!!". Very calmly the man said "now I don't have to worry about someone else hitting it; that is already done."

Go to the dealer and get a bottle of touchup paint and cover the big nick and then get some clear coat scratch remover from you local auto parts store and fix the scratches. Stop whinning and enjoy your car...that is what they were made for.

I feel bad for you.

Get a Langka chip repai kit and a bottle of touch up paint from the dealership. The Langka kit comes with good instructions.

Unless you're really good at it, won't look like new but the areas will look better.

Thanks for the encouragement.

Yeah, I'll touch it up and deal with it.

Don't feel too bad. I've had to drive into the city and park the last few months. 7 scratches/dings so far. I'm beyond pissed.

Yeah, I've had my Mini for just about a month and a half. I've had multiple scratches from people rubbing against the mirrors (and of course the cracked rear bumper from my wife backing into a rock )

I've got 2k miles on mine and already have a couple of small rock chips on the bonnet and scratches all over my rear bumper. You're not alone.

BTW in general if your obsessive over your paint do not get Midnight Black, it'll drive you bonkers

I pulled out of the motel in Robbinsville during the Dragon and a guy edging threw a stone and chipped my windshield. Of course it has to be right in front of the driver.
Waiting for crack to start anytime. I wonder if the guy painted a little Mini on his edger as a confirmed kill?
