R56 Long journey of me and my MINI
Long journey of me and my MINI
Hello everybody,
As I have been on the forums for a while now since I got my license, I think it is all fair to say I need to post some pictures of my baby from when i got her, to this day. I have not been on the forums for a while because of my job last year, and then when finishing that up I went to college for Automotive. Other than me giving all of you a lot of my life story
I will post pictures now. Please leave me comments and suggestions! Thanks!
(NOTE)* The pictures below go in order from when i went to pick up the car to now.

Then the worst thing happened to a me on January 3, 2011. Something so horrific, none of us MINI drivers want to happen to any of us. I rear ended a Nissan Altima. Legitimately I was doing no faster than 10 m.p.h. when i rear ended her. Needless to say I totaled her car and what you see in the picture below is the damage that was done to my car. It had regular HELLA rally lights before i hit her. Those were probably the thing that cushioned my impact so much. When she pulled her totaled Nissan away from my MINI, I noticed two imprints on her back bumper that were imprinted saying "HELLA". Hahah I get a kick out of it everytime
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
Very nice! Looks 120% better than when you first got it, not that it was bad. I'd say Joey-mod your headlights satin black or at the very least plastidip their chrome rings.
I've got some pictures of one of my favorite Minis at home I'll try to remember to post it here when I get home. It's yellow with black accents just like yours. It might give you some ideas.

Did you paint your rims? Just curious cause I love my rims but I want black ones!

Thank you for all the replies! I have been extremely busy with trying to find a job and helping my parents. @ Calforhelp man I would love that thing, except only problem. I am a broke college student trying to get my degree. But shoot i guess when I look at it. By the end of my college career I should be able to purchase a "S".
@RobMuntean Yes I did paint them. They are ASA AR2 V2 and they only came in a Polished Aluminum with grey accents. After about having them on the car for 2 years through winters, your wheels start looking a lil crappy. So i decided once i got back for summer to paint them. Theyve been plasti-diped for 3 weeks now and i cant be happier with the way they came out. I feel everybody looks at me everytime i drive past somebody now!
@Amancuso Yes they are 17''. They look a little different in the picture but I am sure you would change your mind if you saw them in real life. I was thinking about getting some XXR 508'S in 18'' and taking the red trim in the middle of the wheel and painting that mellow yellow. And I know a lot of MINI forum members might hate on me for this, but sometime in the near future I am looking at "Bagging" my MINI. It'll give it a nice stance.
Love your story i to am a young mini owner ive owned my mini for a year now and ut still puts the biggest smile on my face. and it has changed heavily from what i started ill post some pictures too!

@Bschuh66 Looks great! I know what you mean. I always have liked MINI's a lil but, since owning one I dont know anything else I would want to switch to for a while. But check out the finish on the rings and boot handle!
Doing a swell job benzoc. Especially for being on such a tight budget. I bought a 2009 MCS a couple months ago. Fortunately, I do have a bit bigger budget.
