Upgrade!! a few more hours...
In just a few hours I'll be trading my 2008 Justa Cooper (49000 miles) for a 2010 Cooper S (12000 miles)...
I'm so stoked.
I didnt think the power difference was going to be as noticeable between the S and non S but I was surprised during the test drive!
And going from auto to manual is going to sweet too.

IMHO: Put in a catch can first. It will help with our carbon build up problem. Then buy a CG Lock to keep you planted in the seat. After that, tires/wheels, sway bar ..... the sky's the limit.
Got it home last night!
I am so stoked and cant wait to get modding...
First I want to black out the chrome, replace tires/wheels, add sway bar, etc....
What benefits do a catch can and CG lock add?

The catch can should help with the carbon build-up in the intake. The S models in particular seem to often get pretty bad carbon build-up in the intake ports. The oil catch can should help prevent oil from getting to the intake, keeping the amount of carbon build-up minimal.
The CG lock keeps the lap belt part of your seat belt from sliding through the buckle. That helps to hold you in place in the seat. That's at the expense of being able to move around as easily and shift position.
It's mostly useful for relatively short periods of twisty-road driving. I've seen it retailed specifically for autocrossing.
