R56 Graphics from Mini question
Graphics from Mini question
As my wife and I are shopping for a Mini, one thing we know we want is something eye catching. We like the cars that have some of the graphics on them. Not totally over the top, we are "middle aged" after all
, but something with some flash. Many of the cars we're looking at don't have graphics on them, which is fine, they're easy to put one. But in looking at Mini's website for aftermarket graphics, I have a question. We're looking for a car with the pano roof. Any idea why they only offer certain roof designs for the hardtop and not the pano?
Also, anyone you'd recommend for aftermarket graphics that are already cut to fit for the Mini? For instance, if we bought a red or blue car, then we'll put the Union Jack graphics from Mini on. But other colors aren't as easy to customize using what Mini offers. So we may look to see what an aftermarket supplier has that looks good on the car.

now a days there's a bunch of places doing vinyl wraps in most any decent sized metro area - not so many 10 years ago when MINI came out.
If I was going to apply a vin' graphic todays I'd tak to my local place.
On my first Dragon trip with my GEN1 I talked to one of the mentioned vendors about a job on my car. The price of the sticker was OK but the price to apply was a turn off. If you buy from one of those vendors you'll probably still want to find an installer and that might take you right back to a 'wrapper'
try googling "vehicle wraps" in your town
just some thoughts.

One nice thing about the factory graphics is that they're covered under warranty.
My Mini was purchased as a used '08 and the top blackjack roof graphic started to peel, then cracked off. To replace it was something like $450, but it was covered for free under the warranty. I only had two weeks on the 4 year warranty when I brought it in too...whew!
