When I purchased my '12 S, the dealer gave me a set of rubber floormats in addition to the standard mats. When "heel toe braking and downshifting" my heel gets caught on the rubber mat. I put the standard mats back and do not have this problem. Has anyone else had this problem and maybe modified the mats to solve the problem?

 

No problem with my '07 rubber mats, but the carpeted ones are smoother.

It may also be an issue of foot placement. The posture and position you are in could be vastly different from your other car/s. Try moving the seat to various positions and see if you can get some relief.

I could not live without my rubber floor mats..... the Pacific Northwest!!
