Nav/Connected Radio Oddity

Admins - please redirect this post if this isn't the proper location.

Wondering if anyone else has seen anything like this. I'm driving the car, listening to a particular satellite radio station. Park and shutoff the car. Restart it. The car starts, and the previously listened to radio station comes on for a few seconds. Then the station changes to some other station.

Happens probably 90% of the time.

Curious...

Hmm never happens to me... Are you accidentally hitting buttons on the steering wheel?

never happened to me ether.

For me, if I was listening to my iPhone and shut it down, then don't have the iPhone plugged back in when I restart, it defaults to the last manually entered FM station, which is usually whatever the service tech used

Mojito, it sounds very similar to what you described. I usually do have my iPhone with me, although I don't typically listen to music from it. I'm a bit of a news junkie, so typically listening to satellite radio.

So maybe it's trying to pair up with the phone, and it's not responding fast enough, even though it wasn't the active device when the car was shut off. And for whatever reason, it's reverting back to that station. And I do think it reverts to the same station every time. Some local country station.

I'm going to continue to try to debug.

Look forward to any more anecdotes!

Happens to me about twice a week, tunes in to a station I never play nor is it in my presets. Also my car doesn't like preset 2, I can push the talk button say preset 2 and it acknowledges but doesn't go to the station. And the dealer doesn't have a clue.

I had IDENTICAL situation - Exactly as you have described - After a few seconds of previous station, would tune to a random static AM station -- My recent trip to Mini Service for Software Update seems to have solved this issue entirely

When on AM/FM the station being played is highlighted and checked. My system randomly changes that highlight (but not check) up or down. The longer I drive the car the further the highlight bar is off the checked and playing station....really wierd.
