Those are and they have been proven to work. If you want to dump $500 go for it but there are a lot of other things $500 can get you.

I've yet to see boost pressure blow out the spark on an r56 and don't really expect to either. You best bet is to replace your faulty coil with another oem one. I did independent testing for Okada Projects and found no benefit to running their coils on the R56. Gas milage and performance was the same as stock.

Ok your misfiring on 2 and 3 you can check the sleeves of the coil packs themselves follow the mini bentley book and take the coil packs out safe like with battery unplugged. the check the metal sleeves on the lower half of the coil packs. if there is rust you might be able to lightly sand off the rust. This occures at car washes and in the rain mabey. You can get cheaper replacement coil at bavarian autosport 50dollers. Remember a proper coil replacement is a effective with a o2 sensor replacement at the same time as well.
Then you get a nice narrow live time reading on the obd2. This means that the sensor and firing pattern are matched up enough to change in real time according to the environment that you driving in. Verses the car computer going into a open loop sequence where a pre programed procedure to run the air/fuel mixture a 14 to 3 part of fuel(runnin rich).
When spark plugs misfire they taint the o2 sensors. and of course replace the spark plugs. for 500 dollers you could buy the upper, lower sensors 2coil packs and spark plugs. Just check for which coils have rust and replace those first.

I guess the good guy would buy new parts and the other guy on a budget would sand the sleeve of the coil packs, dunk the sensor tip in gasoline for 24hours and sand blast the spark plugs in a little metal mesh bag.
