Any suggestion on a good quality wheel brush to help keep my 09 JCW wheels clean? Thanks!

I personally use an old white sock with Griot's wheel cleaner to keep my wheels clean. I've seen lots of brushes, but the sock won't ever scratch my wheels.

I just use a separate wash mitt just for my wheels.

Walmart washable non-scratch microfiber wheel brush stock #WMA10094. Less than $4 and works like a charm. I also have access to surgical sponges on a plastic stick.

To keep wheels clean, I would use some Prima Hydro which is super easy to spray on. Or Prima's Wheel Shield for more durable protection. This will enable you to rinse off brake dust even easier. Often a quick swipe with a microfiber towel will do the trick, without water. Wheel brushes become unnecessary.

However on wheels with stubborn brake dust I use a brush with soft flagged ends. For the barrels, EZ Brushes are nice. But I'd say the best way to clean the wheels is to just use a non acid wheel cleaner like Sonax Full Effect. Spray it on, wait 3-4 minutes, and rinse it off. In the video here, I'm using a less than desirable sprayer from Ace Hardware. I've found that a Solo bug sprayer works awesome and lets you mist the FE on in seconds.

depends

i use a boar's hair brush when it gets stubborn with some simple green, apply fresh wheel armour after and then just use hydro or slick and a black microfiber towel to clean regularly.

all the 'alloy' MINI wheels I know are painted and clear coated . . .

suggesting the same care you apply to the 'colored parts'

do you brush those?

Call me lazy, but I do use a softbrush when washing the car. Been doing it for years. Attached to a broom stick makes walking a piece of cake. Maybe many of you are cringing. Should I start researching a new method to wash?

As far as brushes go many good suggestions to getting in the tight spots of the wheels. Thanks!!, just the info I was looking for.

I tried a wheel brush but found that it wasnt easier to use and did a poor job in general. I use Griots wheel cleaner, a mitt just for the wheels, and Griots 3 finger mitts to get in the small spaces. Its fast and does a great job. The 3 finger mitts allow you to get into the spaces behind the outer wheel surface.

I've been using small California duster for years in between washes.
