what is the first thing you bought/did for your CM?

Inquiring minds want to know.

I think I will have tint done at the dealer before I pick it up and hoping they will throw in a stubby and/or some mats

I put on the mudflaps. This car really needs them.

After doing a complete detailing with Adam's Polishes, I got a stubby antenna.

Mats now come with the car but a stubby shouldn't be too hard to get.

bought

Hmm, I splurged and bought a $9 stubby antenna. This one is made from carbon fiber, have to keep the weight down on the All4 you know, and is 1 1/2 inch long. I am stylin.

Apparently the mats are already included in the price. I purchased a "Go Badge" for my Mini and have planned for tinting! Only 2 more weeks!

1) Winter tires and wheels
2) SprintBooster

I'm happy with both purchases. I'm also thinking about a strut bar.

Nice one Flamewinger; I even like your side stripes - which is a first for me!

I bought a manual transmission badge that I will put on as soon as I get competent at driving it. What criteria would you use to award a badge for driving a manual transmission? Tell me here!

I was busy shopping while the car was being built and sailing. Before the car showed up I had ordered:
- Oil and filters for 2 oil changes
- Clear bulbs for de-yolking
- 4 inch exhaust tips
- Red 4's from Vinyl styles

Technically the first thing to be installed were the wheel locks as that was done by the dealer. Within 36 hours of getting the keys the windows were tinted, the 4's were red, the exhaust tips had grown, and front bulbs were clear.

MINI's are so fun and easy to personalize! I love seeing what everyone is doing to theirs. Keep it coming!

Learned how to use the NCS Expert software to:
- activate comfort closing from the key fob;
- have all doors/boot unlock when key is removed;
- activate one-touch sunroof close;
- enable weather radio;
- remove start-up legal screen from connected/nav;
- enable the accurate speed display in the tach;
- disable the key gong/door open reminder;
- change the hazard light to double-blink.

Cost: $0. See THIS thread for more info.

Next up: LED replacements for the turns, stops, and running lights. Will use NCS Expert to code-out the light bulb warnings, if necessary. Some of the newer LEDs are CAN-bus friendly.

Cool stuff! I remember seeing the thread but had forgotten. Time to read up on this again!

Ditto on the stubby.

Note to Zuman- let me know how you like those Michelin's Alpines. I am still undecided for my CMS but leaning towards the Blizzaks on the 17" Sport Edition wheels.

My car is on a vessel approaching Panama, but I already bought the load bars (on sale) and a Scangauge (want to see water temp, boost and other parameters).

Bought a GoBadge and Key fob from gobadge.com. Plan on buying a stubby antenna next week.
The car is getting clear bra-ed the same day we pick it up. And window tints will probably come later.

Good gosh and golly. Boy am I embarrassed. I guess I'm a bit more primal than the rest of you guys. First thing I did was let a big, long, mal de aire loose on the driver's lounge leather. Around here, you got to mark your territory if you want to keep it.

Sealy - Who also thought about wetting the tires.
