Well, bought my Cooper tonight...
Bought a cpo '09 Cooper, Night Fire Red.

So far I know it's NFR, 6spd, sunroof w/ tilt rear roof, leatherette, 15" wheels.
I'll add more as I find out about her.
All I know is that something this fun to drive should NOT get this good of gas mileage... outrageous!

I completely agree with you! Good luck and enjoy it. I absolutely love my 08 Cooper and I say the same thing every day. I have 4 high horsepower cars, and driving my Cooper is the most fun car I have ever owned. Able to blast around corners, cruise above 80 and get over 400 miles to a tank of gas just seems wrong but makes me happy!
Have you driven an S? I've never driven a justa but I'm sure they still feel pretty peppy.

I drove them all
The Justa, the S turbo, the JCW. I love them all.
However, I have trouble keeping the Justa under legal speeds, so imagine what would happen w/ more power!
Plus, I love the balanced feel of the car, there's no turbo kicking in or torque steer (or spinning front tires :-P) to deal with, so it's easier to focus on driving and less on hanging-on... :-)
I come from 5 years of driving a Jeep Wrangler, but grew up autox'ing a honda civic, and being into hot sports cars my whole life (2 triumph spitfires, 1 austin healey sprite - still own it, need to restore it, bmw's, etc.).
Bought this car with the intention of driving the heck out of it, commuting in it, autox'ing it, track days (I'm 1 exit south of Road Atlanta), and then giving it to my daughter... :-)
Loving the mini! Best decision I've made in a while!
Thanks for the replies.

Having a blast
Just took the fam to Whole Foods - the car was full but quite comfortable with 4 of us in there. I took the Mini because:
#1 - It's fun to drive.
#2 - Can't buy much at Whole Foods...
We may make the Mitty, it's my daughters birthday but she just asked me when we were going back to Road Atlanta for LePetit... she had a blast! I'd like to do some of the vintage events (car and cycle) and some SCCA events if we can get in (don't know if they sell tickets to SCCA IT events, I always got in free when I crewed for a race team).
I may take a day off during the week and tackle the dragon...
See y'all around!
