Bavarian AutoSport Rear Bumper Cover

Just wanted to show off my new bumper cover. It turned out to be much nicer and better fitting than I had imagined. I thought it was just a narrow stick on cover but it's form fitted and utilizes two OEM bumper screws when installed. It took them over 3 months to get it to me but it was worth the wait. Pics:

Wow that does look really good, and sturdy too. Besides the screws how does it stick to the bumper surface?

Well, as he said, Bavarian AutoSport is the place to get it.

I believe it's meant to protect the top of the bumper when loading/unloading. However, I suppose to some it could also be seen as a stylish accessory. Perhaps consider it "form" in addition to "function".

Yes I did get it from Bavarian Autosport and delivery was long because it was imported from the UK. I think BAS waits until they have enough of an order to make a bulk buy. It is used to both protect the bumper and be an accessory. A farkle of sorts. The leading edge of the part is double-side sticky taped to the bumper.

Dammit I needed that months ago, now I got light scratches in my clear coat. Thanks for the post, going to order one of these.

the previous owner of my car loaded/unloaded his golf bag into my MINI numerous times so it's all scratched up. At $80 this would be substantially cheaper than touching up the paint. I might have to keep this on my list of things to get.

You can do this in vinyl too. $80 isn't bad for molded plastic that fits that well though.

Or you could have it vinyl covered in your favorite pattern

I picked this up back in November from Bavauto which is down the road from me. How long did you have to wait it on backorder?

Bavauto no longer sells these bumper protectors. I traded my r56 for a r55 and ended up ordering the protector from Outmotoring.com There is a CM protector. RGM is the manufacturer and they are out of the UK.

Such a cool product, such a terrible site.

Anybody know if someone sells a version that uses body bolts to attach?

EDIT: Ok, I think I found one, but it's only marked for up to '09, would this still fit my '11?

UPDATE:

I found out that RGM sells on Amazon and cost me $64 shipped form the UK to get one. I'll make a post and update this one when I get it.

I think I found the RGM one on amazon. Looks just like the one NGP sells on their site.

I wanted the one that is pictured at the top of this thread, with the bumper cover attached using the two bolts in the corner and the guard edges wrapping up the complete width of the bumper....only for a countryman. Instead, the RGM looks like it does not extend the complete width of the bumper. Is that what that looks like?

I got it form Amazon UK.. Specifically, the RGM RBP102. You can find it on ebay as well.
