How does an average mechanic troubleshoot and repair/replace the power lock issues? The right side door lock does not function from the central switch.

 

Assuming everything else works (hatch, fuel filler, etc.) I'd stat to consider the wiring going into the door or the solenoid that locks/unlocks the right door. To troubleshoot that you're going to have to remove the inner door panel and check for voltage at the solenoid.

 

Thanks for the tip Ammodave. All other locks are working properly. Also, the dealer has already replaced the solenoid in the left side door not too long ago. (For a pretty penny, I might add.) I thought I'd give this one a go myself.
