I've been scouring for pics of a pepper white R56s with joey mods with painted rings. If you have one, please post it here. Just trying to get some ideas. I did find a few but there has to be more than just a few....
Why would they look like ***? You must love chrome... looks pretty good from what I can see..
Nothing to do with the chrome, in fact I'd like to have my rings done in body color. I don't think that darkened light housings go well with light colored cars, that's all. Pic above confirms it for me - that car looks awesome but I think it would look 100% better with the stock light internals.
All subjective of course. If you like the look, by all means, go for it.
Nice! I think thats the route I want to go. I was originally thinking of painting the projector surround Red.. I guess I need to get Photoshop loaded and start messing with the pics... its going to be a tough one..
Nope, output should be the same because it's sourced from the projector. In fact, it cuts down on extraneous glare from the former reflective surfaces. You notice it on the extreme left and right limits of the cutoff lines, it's very sharp.
Absolutely, I will be leaving here shortly and I will snap one and upload it. I also was bored with the PW paint and painted the scuttles on the side but I really am not feeling them.
I tried doing the plastidip on the scuttles and its just not turning out like I want. I may get VinylStyles to do it as he seems to do a supreme job on them.
I did, however, plastidip the rings, grill trim, rear light trim, and I am waiting for the new plastidip enhancer called Glossifier that will make the plastidip have a glossed look to it.. cant wait for it to arrive..
Wow! thats pretty nice! I think the black stripes really make this work! I may have to rethink my strategy of how to do my Joey mod... Very nice work!!!
