So.... What did your MINI club do this weekend?
Here's what we did:

For the sections that did not have locals slowing us down, think Tail Of The Dragon times two. The only cops we saw were in towns. The scariest thing was going over the mountain in VERY DENSE fog where you were happy to see the car in front of you, 20 or so feet ahead of you....and then it began sleeting. We had one minor incident, but the owner was able to make it home. Pics are fron the start nin North Wilkesboro:

I like the idea for this thread...hope it catches on.
..whenever we do something with local club(s) on wknd...wasn't sure where to post... just end up posting in "what did you do to your mini today" thread.

Our club (PSMINI) was supposed to take a drive over Snoqualmie Pass (in the Cascade Mountains) that was originally organized by the new Countryman owners to kind of show off their 4 wheel drive capabilities. They got scared of a bit of weather and the possibility of their shiny new cars getting dirty and maybe a paint chip or two, and also of rough weather (it's a mountain pass, what do you expect). Although I'm an R50 owner my kid and I were all for it, provided they would wait for me to chain up if needed.
Instead, we took a leisurely drive around Camano Island (not in the mountains) and 10 cars worth of people had lunch at the Diamond Knot lodge, where they bring your food out to you on a 900 degree rock and you essentially cook it yourself. Turned out to be a fun drive and an awesome lunch experience.

looked like lots of fun and very nice scenery. I wish there was an active group here in Northern California. I really can't understand why there isn't one.
BTW -I love the flag graphic on the BRG mini. I had an idea for that exact same thing on mine and was shocked to see someone had already come up with the idea.

Another bunch of us in PSMINI (about 12 cars) went to Griot's garage for a detail your car class.

Then we went to Chevy's Mexican restaurant afterwards for some good conversation and food.
