I like spreading rumors.

Looking at the numbers the Cooper SD has 143 bwp (sizable less than the Cooper S at 181) and 225lb ft of torque (sizably more than the Cooper S at 177). Having never driven either how would they compare? Just wondering of the SD really will be as much bang for the buck in terms of performance or not! I love the idea of a diesel Cooper though and hope the rumors are true.

Too bad it will only be available in the Countryman. (Sorry, CM owners, it's just not my cuppa.) Hopefully that mill will trickle down to the Hardtop after a while.
