Interior/Exterior 3 weeks in and first audio mod complete
3 weeks in and first audio mod complete

Drove away from dealer with my pre-owned Coop and all was well until I turned on the radio. Yikes...it's awful.
I didn't want a major upgrade and honestly, being my commuter car I wanted something decent. I went with Crutchfield's home-brewed Sound Ordnance line, installed 4" and 6.5" on doors and 6x9's in the rear. Since I had to take the rear interior out, I said what the hell, let me throw in all this extra fat mat stuff I had lying around. I didn't want loudness, I just wanted cleanliness and wow, what a difference. I also did the kick-panel harness mod (switching Fronts to Rear and VV) The highs are coming through the doors and lower bass from rear, sounds much much better. Very pleased!
How much did the sound treatment help? I'm getting ready to take my doors apart and install a set of Hertz components and plan to install a ton of sound barrier material as I've heard that really cuts down on road noise. I'll probably add some to the back when I get to that point as well to cut down on in cabin noise from the exhaust.
It looks like you've done a very professional install of everything!
