I'm assuming this is a good mod being that it's been a heavily discussed topic around here. I'm new to the whole mini thing and it's my first DI engine. Thanks for the links.

And you probably need the dual port adapter to block off the passenger side CCV.

From your sig description Minifan07, I assume you have an 07 MCS. If so, Sku# r56bshcc for oil catch can and Sku# bshboosttap for boost tap from www.waymotorworks.com.
Normally has great prices or at least as good as anyone plus Way will service you well. He's very knowledgable and will answer any questions you have.

Ugh...thanks I just placed an order yesterday from WWM for the BSH catch can, oh well. I can still run the catch can for a few weeks and then install the boost tap right?

Did Way say that would be ok. If not, I'd wait and install both at the same time.

Bigprfed22.....Got a question, probably stupid question but I'll ask you anyways.
What would happen (damage, etc.) if one forgot to check OCC and it fills up totally? Spill out to the turbo??
Haven't done it yet but just wondering.

Mayyyyybe under high G conditions, but realistically the can will be full so it will not catch any more, in that case the pcv gases will not condense thus it will be like it isnt there.

Thanks. Down here in lower Alabama due to the temp extremes, 38 one morning and 55 next I tend to get more water condensation so I've been checking every week. Check the oil and coolant at the same time.

Yeah any cold temps will make you think your getting more gunk but its just water condensation. I am running open pcv because i wanted to ensure no gunk got in anymore period... there goes my carbon footprint lol.

So, what is the purpose of the boost tap? And why is it necessary in conjunction with the OCC?

Thanks.

I believe it stops any crud from flowing into the intake manifold (port side). I installed both boost tap and occ and love it. You won't believe the amount of crap you pull out of it.
The boost tap by the way has a plug in the end to stop flow as well as 2 plugs which can be removed for vacuum gauge addition. Don't know much about that part just know that both parts work. I use a 1 inch wide syringe with a 1/4 inch hose to pull out the crud from the dip stick holerather than draining from the lower hole on the catch can. Makes it alot faster and cleaner.
