R53 Frontbrake rotor diameter?

I need to replace my front brakes and the parts store did not ask standard or JCW. They asked Ø276 mm or Ø294 mm rotors.

Is this the difference between standard and JCW, and short of removing a disk and measuring it, should I specify the smaller diameter?

Thank you in advance.

Just so I understand correctly, the Cooper "S" has 276 mm diameter rotors?

Does this mean that the base Cooper (R50) shares the same brakes with the S (R53), with only the JCW having larger brakes?

Yup....
to add one more bit of info
gen1 jcw rotors/calipers are the same as gen 2 r56 stock (when painted red)...they are transferable with new lines, and carriers.

Close, but just to clarify: First-gen JCW rotors/calipers are the same as the R56 'S' brakes. the R56 "Justa" brakes aren't the same as the first-gen JCW brakes.
