RE: R56 Oil Hose for Turbo

Hi all,
I just found out that hose on top of my turbo is bad, and a lot of oil around turbo... Have anyone tried to change this hose themselves?
Is this a common problem?

Thanks in advance,

I just had that problem. If your car is still under warranty, then your dealer should replace it for free; especially since oil + hot turbo could lead to some bad things...

There are several threads on it already:

I've hard about it before. S**t happens sometimes.

I'm assuming you're still under warranty. To fix it you'll have to place the front end in "service mode" and then basically start dissecting the exhaust system. The exhaust manifold will need to come off to get access to the turbo oil feed connection on the engine block. Should be a fun adventure! Don't forget to buy new banjo bolts and copper seals :-)

Wow!
I heard it was as simple as replacing the oil hose and the heat shield.
Dang, I should get a hold of the guy at the dealer who told me this...

Thanks

No more warranty, unfortunately.
